Introducing Paper Meditations

Thoughts disentangle themselves passing over the lips and through pencil tips.

Touch a pen.

Feel it in your fingers and hand.

I bet you’ve had a favorite one at one time or another. Or perhaps you just write with whatever you can find and within days it’s lost again and you find the next one.

Either way, most of us have used a pen or pencil in our lives. And there’s something about especially a felt pen for me that gives me the tactile experience of feeling the tip sink into a piece of paper and the slight resistance it offers as I write.

And so I decided a few years ago to put literal pen to literal paper and write out some meditations. I found the words coming from the pen to hit me and speak to me in a new way. And for whatever reason, I’ve waited to share them.

So, I present to you Paper Meditations. I will be adding them over a few weeks and months as I write more. What I will do is share a photo of the paper I wrote and also type up the meditation.

This first set is on a beautiful couple of verses, Philippians 4:6-7.

I hope you like them as much as I do and it will help you in your story in The Story.
